Acquerella Detox System

(I apologise for the dirty nail buffer, any tips on how to clean them?)

I am so excited to be writing this post.

I am a massive nail polish fan but because of this and my constant obsession about wearing it all the time, except when I am at school it has led to me having weak and brittle nails.

When I saw this in the package Nancy sent me at Christmas I was excited to try it and she told me loads of great things about it.

Since February I have used this about 3 times.

Haul // Nail Polish

If you follow me on Twitter, you might remember that I tweeted saying I bought 12 nail polishes in an order from Fragrance Direct and then 7 more in town the next day, yes I am a nail polish addict and this takes my collection up to 115?!? I have also ordered some nail wheels from Ebay, so if you're interested I am thinking about doing a post with the pictures of the swatches of my nail polish collection, so please leave me a comment if this is something you'd like to see.

So onto the haul:

YSL Golden Gloss in '2'

When I saw that Nancy had sent me this in my Secret Santa parcel I was so super happy! I have been wanting to try a product from YSL for the longest time, but everything just seems so expensive and I wouldn't know which product to choose first.

I am usually not a big fan of lipgloss, I hate how it is sticky, on a windy day your hair gets caught in it, and they usually don't have great pigmentation, however this has changed my mind.

This gloss is super pigmented, it is more like a liquid lipstick and it is just gorgeous. It is a my lips but better colour with golden glitter in it that shows up on the lips and looks 1000% gorgeous.I really like the effect, and it doesn't make it feel gritty at all. The applicator is a brush which I personally really like, and prefer over a doefut(or however you spell it) applicator, because you can get a much more precise application.

This gloss isn't at all sticky, yet it lasts a good hour on the lips, sometimes longer. I have never had a lipgloss stay on my lips that look before and so paying that it extra definitely pays off. They also smell of mangoes which is so delicious, the smell is amazing.

This comes in 18 shades, and they all look gorgeous so I would definitely recommend checking them out, they give a super glossy look to the lips, and they contain 0.2% 24 carat gold flecks! which create a mirror- like effect on the lips which is absolutely stunning. They also contain a complex of nourishing oils which protect and hydrate, and this definitely moisturises the lips whilst and after your wearing it, which is another added bonus.

The only downfall for the product is the price tag, at a whopping £22, which I think is so expensive for a lipgloss, so I now only wear this on special occasions! I don't know what I'm going to do when this runs out, it is amazing but so expensive.

What do you think?
Have you tried anything from YSL?

Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer

When I saw this in my Secret Santa Parcel from Nancy I was super excited to see this in there because I have been wanting to try this bronzer for ages. It retails at £23.50 so I had been trying to justify spending the money for ages, and then I got it in the parcel so I didn't need to!

Having said that I will 100% be purchasing this bronzer again. This is seriously one of the most amazing bronzers ever, I think it may even beat my Chanel Soleil Tan de Chanel and I absolutely love that bronzer, the only reason I say this is because although I love the Chanel bronzer, I prefer powder bronzers as I find them easier to work with. This bronzer is a matte bronzer with absolutely no shimmer, but it is quite a creamy fine milled powder and isn't at all chalky. It doesn't go patchy and lasts all day.

This also makes the best contouring bronzer ever, it is so natural and it is so easy to contour with. I apply this with my Real Techniques Blush Brush. I contour my cheek bones and then sweep it across my fore head and under my chin and it looks so natural. It isn't at all orange and even though I am very pale this blends perfectly into the skin to make it blend in with my skin tone.

When I contour with this and apply my MeMeMe highlighter on I get loads of compliments about how much slimmer my face looks and that I look like I have a healthy summer glow. I usually find it very hard to contour but this makes it so much easier.

I definitely recommend this bronzer.

What is your favourite bronzer?

My Favourite Gradual Tans!

So this may seem like a bit of a weird post baring in mind we have seen nothing but cold and winter weather for ages now, but I wanted to look sunned so I decided that it was time to whip out the gradual tan again.
I have to use gradual tan because I get severe allergic reactions to fake tan, and gradual tan is the only tanning product that doesn't make me have an allergic reaction.

My favourite gradual tans are the 'Palmer's Natural Bronze' and the 'Garnier Summer Body' in medium. These two gradual tans are both great because they give a really nice deep bronze colour even after the first application. I apply the Palmer's tan at night because it is slightly thicker and more sticky and then I apply the Garnier tan in the day. I do this for 2/3 days and 2/3 nights because if I apply any more coats than this then it tends to go a little bit orange, then I leave it for a couple of days and then top it up again.

Before applying any of this fake tan I always exfoliate with my St Ives body scrub and then I apply my Vaseline Aloe Vera body lotion(which smells seriously amazing!) and then I apply this with a tan mitt. I have still not found a good gradual tan for my face so if you know of any please tell me in the comments!

Back to the tans, as with most tans these do have a bit of a biscuity smell but it isn't nearly as bad as most gradual tans. The Palmer's one has the most biscuity smell of the two but it's not really bad, it smells of chocolatey cake batter and smells delicious. The Garnier Summer Body smells of Apricots and the smell of biscuit is hardly noticeable and this is great because I think there is nothing more sickening than the horrible fake tan smell.

These tans give  light bronze colour after one application and then after a few, builds up into a really nice colour. Overall I give these 5/5!

What are your favourite tanning products?

New Blog Button!

You may have noticed my gorgeous new blog button which was designed by the lovely Becky from Lipgloss & Lashes, you can check out her blog here, she has a lovely blog and I have only recently stumbled across it but I am really enjoying reading her posts, they are great so you should definitely go and check her out.

I am so pleased with this button, so thankyou so much Becky!

Which also brings me onto another topic, I recently 'de-cluttered' my blog buttons as loads of them didn't work, or people had deleted their blog or they were just out of date e.g. giveaway buttons, so I have decided to start from scratch again, so if you want to do a button swap with me leave me a comment with a link to your blog, then put my button on your blog and I will grab your button from your blog too! No bigger than 200x200 please :)

Thanks for reading me

Comment if you would like to do a button swap :)

Balmi Lipbalm in Raspberry

I had heard loads about these Balmi's for ages, so when I finally saw them in my local Boots store I had to pick one up! I have been wanting to try an EOS lipbalm for ages, but because they are so hard to get hold of and if you do find one online they can be quite expensive so I never got one.
